I know from Dave's last post that tickets were suppose to go on sale february 20. I was on the pyrofest website I see that PNC bank was a supporter, does anyone know if I would be able to purchase tickets from a local pnc bank here in michigan?

They should start releasing some information this week. It should be interesting to see what they have planned for two days. When I get any information I will pass it along.

I have the code now and will release it as soon as tickets go one sale. It looks like the ticket price will go from $10.00 to $110.00. Stay tuned. Tickets go on sale in a few days.

@ Melp... Movement Electronic Music Festival. (Techno Week) @ Hart Plaza.

Shacking at MGM Grand 4 days.

@Dave... lol, thats funny.
But in actuality, its not really all the bad there... Ive been going there for a few years now and the people are some of the nicest and also well educated about whats going on with the city.

I enjoy going ever year. This is why I always skip PyroFest, lol. HOWEVER... someone up there needs to get involved with some pyro for the event!

yeah, The D is not as bad as people make it out to be. I work downtown and never have encountered anyone or anything. Now that Gilbert has taken over Detroit, basically all the beggars and people like that have left the city and have gone some place else. As for the Detroit Fireworks, yeah, there is always going to be some idiots down there which is why I never go to it. I just watch it from TV, lol!

I hope people are getting their tickets, the discount code offer ends in 7 days. Of course I am committed and plan to be there for both days. I think they PyroFest outgrew the prior location as far as parking is concerned. This property is massive. I hope they plan the parking strategy better than the PGI did on this property. I bet the Butler County Pennsylvania Convention Bureau is loving this. I see they are bringing back the Pyro-Sun with Voyage Through the Universe display. Here is a video from a prior year.

I see Phantom Fireworks will be there again. I should talk to someone at Phantom and convince them to put on a electrically fired pyro-musical using their product this year. Similar to what Scott from Cobra did using Kerllners products. I believe Pyrotecnico opened the vendor booths up to all fireworks companies and not just Phantom. Not sure if others will take advantage of that or not.

Here are some Google Earth images of the property and exit numbers. Note the close proximity to Interstate 79. It is a short distance off of the exit. If you are coming from out of town, you can land at Pittsburgh International Airport, rent a car and drive four lane roads all the way from the airport to the shoot site. Pennsylvania Interstate 79 connects Pittsburgh to Erie. A hotel near or on Interstate 79 from Erie to Pittsburgh is a reasonable drive to the shoot site.
I am glad to hear fireworks enthusiast are taking advantage of the 10% discount. I ask Pyrotecnico to give me this discount and permission to pass it along to my pyrotalk and video subscribers and without hesitation they did. They appreciate support from the pyrotechnic community. In prior years they offered free training and the chance to work on the shoot site helping to set up the display to new people wanting to be part of this. I will have to check if they are doing the same thing this year.
Here are images of the shoot site. It should be interesting to hear how they handle the parking and seating. Another thing, where will the shoot site be located on the property?

Has anyone heard anything about who, and if, other consumer venders might be there besides Phantom? The parking at the PGI event a couple years ago was less than well thought out, and I hope they do better than they did last year at Hartwood. Dave, how about showing them how to do a finale? :cool: We'll be there as usual.

The castle. Will this be a nuisance on the shoot site?...........Absolutely! But they aren't going to dismantle it for another event. Not too bad to work around it--the field is plenty wide to do anything imaginable.
More of a nuisance for anyone that may be working in the field is the hundreds of "pot holes" all over the field. Not too bad in the daytime because you can see them--but dangerous at night. I turned my ankle in one friday night at PGI 2013 when we were breaking down our racks after the Bixler show. Just be aware that they are there if you are working in the field!

I got the family ticket and received an email with the conformation number. When you print it out it also has a part with one of those square scan symbols on it and it looks like you can cut out the area and laminate it for a badge.

I see the 2015 Pyrofest commercial is getting ready to start hitting the local air waves. The videographer is a pyro enthusiast and also a member of the forums.

I heard from people as far away as Florida that tell me they are coming to Pyrofest this year. We should all have a great time. Can't wait to see how it is going to be with the expanded location.
