Hello. I was just wanting to know if I could run out a db25 cable from my module out to one of my slats and would still be able to use the cues on the module where the cable was connected. Does this work? I have seen many people do this in the past, but I'm not sure if it worked for them.

-Thanks!

Here is a link to the Cobra / Slat web page:

http://www.cobrafiringsystems.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=138

Off to the right there is an option for a slat connector for $39.95. That has Euro-block connections on for cues on the bottom row and allows usage of the top and middle rows as normal.

There is a video there that shows how to upgrade the modules and how to use them too. It a pretty slick and really to use accessory.

You can use all the cues on the module with the slat connector, but cues 13-18 use very small connectors. So I did this. And then cleaned it up a little.

Most generic DB 25 cable is 28 gauge, and may or may not carry the current you need for reliable ignition. Cobra sells their own 22 gauge cable, and that is what I will use from now on. If you have seen my video showing 28 gauge cable with Cobra slats, you saw that it did work. But I don't trust it and decided not to use the 28 gauge.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use generic slats with Cobra? I've got a heap of old 20 shot slats with the 25 pin connectors, in theory can I use these and obviously have 2 redundant cues on the slat. Or are the cobra slats specific to the system?

If the wires make the connections it will fire the cue.
