Ok I see it now, he did not purchase the. Cobra, he took a typical route many new pyros take when they move into electrical firing, that is using one of the many import systems. Most of them will get the job done and it gives you a feel for electrical firing.

He implied you could shoot from the racks without supporting them with the end boards. I would not do that.

I am seriously considering using boards in bottom to support my racks but the issue is I do all the setup myself and that requires and lot of extras to carry. I just used #10 eye screws and steel rods but even that makes me question how things will go in the event of a CATO.

Yes. You have to take a LOT of stuff to properly set up a display. I do it almost solely by myself as well. No way around it, you are going to bust your ass in this hobby! Now, using screw eyes and steel rods should allow you to space your racks out as much as you like. This should be safer than podding them all together with end boards in the event of a CATO. What do you mean by using boards in the "bottom"?
