HANNIBAL, Mo. —A sick child wants a fireworks show, and her Missouri community is making it happen.
The Hannibal City Council on Tuesday agreed to launch fireworks sometime in the second week of December. The Quincy (Illinois) Herald-Whig reported that the show is on behalf of an 11-year-old girl identified only as Molly. Details about Molly's illness were not released.
Molly's initial wish was to go to Disney World and take in a fireworks show, but she became too ill. So Make-A-Wish Foundation coordinator Amanda made arrangements for a fireworks show in Hannibal, the northeast Missouri town where Mark Twain grew up.

Plans call for fireworks to be launched from Lover's Leap, a bluff overlooking the town. Molly will view the show from the second floor of a downtown business.

.
If someone can find out what fireworks company is shooting this display please let me know. It would be great if they would give this young girl some control of a simulated countdown before the display.
