I love scripting shows to classic rock. Some of my favorites to do pyro to are The Who. This would be a nice opening song.

There's a bunch of songs I can see fireworks going with. Most recently, I pictured what would go with that song "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel from the Disney movie "Frozen." I picture blue mines, and had a cool idea of shells with snow flake shapes in them (instead of smiley faces and hearts etc) that go from blue and white colors to a strobe effect.

I'm weird, I know….

the sound-track to that movie 'Xanadu' has a lot of pyro-musical gems .
cheesy movie but a cool soundtrack with lot of music by Electric Light Orchestra and Olivia Newton John.
disco-y but cool .
here is the complete track-list in video form . listen to the lyrics and you can see what I mean, maybe .

AC/DC "for those about to rock" has a cannon on the album cover and when they played those shows for that tour, they had the same kind of cannon at both side of the stage that would rise up on these hydraulic lift riser things and they'd fire at same time during that song .
I was there at the Civic Arena in Pittsburgh as a teen and saw this show. My ears rang for about a week afterward :))))

The songs I'll be using next year will be:

1st: Carrie Underwood Star Spangled Banner
2nd: Lee Greenwood Proud To Be An American (Edited it)
3rd: Acdc Thunderstruck (Edited it)
4th: Imagine Dragons Demons (Edited it)
5th: Eric Church Springsteen (Edited it)
6th: Europe The Final Countdown (Edited it)
The reason I edited most of these was because I wanted to get a variety of songs.

If you want a different spin for a patriotic song--check out The Star Spangled Banner by Madison Rising. Different, to say the least. I used it in my show this year. Great to script to.

Eh, no offense but it kind of ruins the traditional song. In my opinion, too much background music rather than the singer.:(

No offense taken--that is the whole point of it---everyone is so used to "and the rocket's red glare(shoot red comets), the bombs bursting in air (shoot salutes)"..it is a different spin on the traditional song. I have a friend that is a retired USMC Lt. Colonel that comes to my picnic/shoot every year & I was concerned that he might have a problem with it---well, he liked it! BTW---the last cue at the very end of the song was a 5" salute. That was an "attention getter"!
That's the fun with music--there are so many different styles for everyone's taste.
