I have just bought some consumer salutes today at my local firework store. I am confident that they are salutes because bought the smaller version of it last year and tried it out. The larger one has a different language and another manufacturer on it. The smaller one only has one brand name on it Synchronous and the larger one has HSK fireworks and Synchronous. Image 1: 587. Image 2: 588. Image 3: 589. I'm also planning on posting a video on it in the future too. I'm wondering if anyone has seen these or tried them out before.

It was a 1.4 consumer item. 6 shot 1.75" kit. Green box. Ball shells rapped in silver foil. Picture of a cartoon bomb on the front It was Called da bomb or mr bomb I cant remember. .
What you purchased are single shot Thunder kings. They probably are salutes, imagine a 25 shot Thunder King. What you have is one of those 25 shots. These are mismarked as 1.4 Consumer Fireworks. They probably are a 1.3 product.
Here are common examples.

Watch this video at 1:05 and you can see how they take a 1.3 product and make it 1.4

Still not consumer salutes. They are 1.3G mislabeled as 1.4G on purpose.

Yea I understand actual salutes cant be 1.4. But being labled 1.4 from the factory technically qualifies it consumer. When I baught mine last year the store had cases of, even the cases were labled 1.4. Like I said they were only around one year. Such as the ones in the video I posted Above. You cant find em anywhere now. A guy once told me. Firework companies do this. They release consumer fireworks that push the boundaries or come out ( hot) in their first year to see what they can get away with. Then re-lable them or tone em down the next batch.

thing is they are nowhere near as boomy & thunderous as a 'proper' 1.3 salute of say, 3" or bigger where they really bring the thunder.
those single tk tubes are more of a crack .

The objective is not to compete with 1.3 product. The objective is beat out the other 1.4 products on the shelf. I have mixed feeling about these overloaded product sometimes. If the CPSC would allow more metal to be used in the production of consumer fireworks we would not have these issue. An example is how fireworks are made for the United Kingdom market. There is just something mentally satisfying about a nice boom in a fireworks product. I personally think if consumer fireworks had a little deeper boom to them there would be less demand for illegally made ground salutes.
