Hello folks,

Anyone know of a decent consumer salute mortar or cake, titanium style? I would like to incorporate something like that in the finale this year.

Booming regards,

Bill

there is no such thing in a legal 1.4g realm - in the USA that is.
In Europe - all over the place...

Are you selling the M-25 again this year? That is a good alternative for someone without an ATF license. Actually it is a good alternative for someone with an ATF license that wants to keep a few M-25 at home.

I just realized you live in Pittsburgh, why not just get the ATF license, with you living so close to me , we can help you get the license, then you can just purchase some Thunder Kings at Kellners Fireworks.

I sorta thought as much, but I thought I would ask. It would seem to me that would good selling product, keeping it within the legal limits of consumer fireworks of course, and there are plenty of shells that pack a nice punch. Thanks very much for the reply!!

Thank you for that compliment. If you want to make a finale using just consumer fireworks I would recommend the canister artillery shell. You are going to need racks and a method to fire them rapidly. Here is a clip of a finale I helped my friend Joe with. 95% of this finale was consumer fireworks canister artillery shells. There was one real salute cake in the mix.

Ditto on the Tannerite M-25 for a 1.4 AP item. Now that the new ones [silver wrapper vs old orange wrapper] have a visco fuse along with the ematch you have options on fusing/firing them. It is not a fast firing cake though--you can see several videos of it on You Tube. A case of them makes for a nice bang! If you do get your "54" & go 1.3--you have a lot of products available to you!

I looked them up, and you are right Dave they are pretty damn good!!

yes - we have some M-25's in stock and plan on restocking soon. I actually forgot that one - LOL.
It is labeled though - "FOR PROFESSIONAL USE" - so i can not and do not have on my store shelves.

At N30Q0
Get your ATF 1.3 license and come to my annual sportsman club fireworks display the last Saturday in August and I will teach all about fireworks, firing systems etc. It is less than 20 miles from you. Working one fireworks display like this is enough reason to apply for the license. If you bring some 1.3 product I will show you how to set it up and shoot it.
Or drive up to jknepp1954 "Joyce" store and see what she has for you. Here is a video of her store from 2012. You will need a GPS to find it. LOL. Don't be fooled by the size of the store she has magazines on the side.

I'll be keeping an eye out for you at Pyrofest Dave. ;) I've been a pyronut all my life, and have never used anything but consumer grade. Still have all my fingers and common sense. :) I look forward to meeting you!

your Ohio drivers license is good enough for us - AS LONG AS YOU ALSO HAVE AN E FIRE SYSTEM.

HI, I picked up a few Sabver Tooth 5 shot report roman candles. They were with question the loudest RC's. They have a recoil when you hold in your hand (everybody dose it) that will surprise you. The bore on these is .75 inches. Bill fuse a case of these up you will not be disappointed. I.m sure these RC's are a 1.3 item hiding in a 1.4 label. They "are" as loud as a Thunder King and go much higher.

Ditto - what are you INSANE? Actually - don't hold any kind of RC in your hand. Read the freakin label - "DO NOT HOLD IN HAND"

In Indiana the illegal versions are all over the place. The packaging changes frequently to keep them under the radar.

Well I don't know where I would get Saber RCs near here so I might just quick fuse a bunch of Thunder Ball RC's. Going up to WF soon, sounds like a pretty decent idea!

Saber candles are much more energetic than your standard variety thunder ball / flashing thunder . definetly dont hold them in your hands. drop them into a mortar tube or candle rack or bury in the ground as the instructions say .

I've got 2 packages left of them...I sold some to a guy last year and he said, "can I hold these" I was serious as I could be and said "not if you like your arm" lol. I have some ERA candles made by Power Ranger I bought 2 years ago. They are euro candles that ended up here in the US by mistake. I bought 4 cases. They are 8 shots with an .80" load per shot. They are multi effect and break bigger than most top notch low shot count 200-350 gram cakes. You dont hold those either.

There sabre candles with cheapo color candles mixed in. You can see how much higher the sabre shoots. They shoot almost as high as cannister shells.

I bought these single shooter things from Hooksett fireworks this week, "Air Bombs" I fused a box of 8 together, packed a pretty good blast. It's just a flash and a bang.

I purchased a case of salute cakes last year, packed 12/1...25 shots and about the size of brothers 200 gram bling bling. Long story short, they're loud! Also have two different types of candles, one is a popular 5 shot salute candle... the other is a european 8 shot candle with .8" loads assorted effects and break like artillery shells...they wound up in the wrong hands....mine lol. However, if you are ever going to head the warning "do not hold in hand"...this is one of those you'd better not hold in your hand...that is if you want to keep it...lol

BTW - did you all ever hear of a phrase "Loose lips sinks ships?"
GEEZ! now where is the popcorn symbol here!
I know this isn't "the other forum" but sometimes you gotta use common sense...

Well, at least they won't get the ones I had because they are all gone and there are no more left where I got them from...so at least in my case they'd just be chasing smoke...lol:D I usually make it a point to post about things I "had" vs "have". But I do know what you mean, loose lips do sink ships and I certainly dont want to be a part of any product being removed from circulation. My apologies for my earlier post. I tried to delete it but couldnt find a way to do so. Maybe a mod will take it down for me.
