This video will be called Fireworks at the Winery; I should have it posted three weeks from now. I believe I may have one in front of this one, until then I hope you enjoy the preview.

The fireworks were great, to be honest the wine is not all that great. In my opinion you just can not get a good bottle of dry red wine on the eastern side of United States. Now if you like sweet wine you may be fine.

dave - try Casa Narcisi Winery in the Gibsonia area of PGH/Allegheny County ... not too shabby for locally produced wine .

I never heard of this local for me winery. Perhaps this can be our next shoot site. LOL
.
I do not want to sound like a wine snob but these local wineries are going to have a hard time beating some of the imports on price and taste. Of course visiting a local winery is more about the experience and local patronage.
Lets use this winery in my fireworks video. Of all the selections on their wine list, only a few were actually grown on the property. The others were made from purchased juice shipped in. For me I want to taste and purchase wine that actually came from the soil I am standing on when I visit a place like this.
Now I am off on a tangent about wine. LOL I like a dark dry wine like Cabernet Sauvignon, I just do not think the soil and growing season in Pennsylvania, New York or Ohio can produce a good one. For me wine from Chile is one of the best in this category for price and taste. I use the target price of $10.00 per bottle. If you go to the South American Section of the liquor store, you will see some of them. Two that come to mind at less than $10.00 per bottle are
Casillero Del Diablo: It is surrounded by mystery and legend for years.

Dave - wow - good to know you like good wine. I do , too . I prefer it to beer or liquor . In a former life, I worked for the L.C.B. in a wine-intensive store in the PGH area.
I like Petit Sirah (an intense dark red) and Zinfandel and some Pinot Noir . If I have to go white , I go with Gewurztraminer .
Some of the Malbec wines from Argentina are quite something. Nandu, for example . Get it if you see it on the shelf .

If you live in Pennsylvania I noticed Casillero del Dibalo (cellar of the devil) is on sale currently for $7.99 a bottle. Also Zach at International Pyrotechnic Importers is in Pennsylvania, perhaps while you are picking up the wine you can pick up some Windbell shells. LOL

I glad you liked the wine, I still have to make time to edit this video. Now that we are on the subject of wine. LOL I can recommend a white for this month. Perhaps this will be the new wine post section. Remember anyone can find a good wine, the real trick is to find a good wine under $10.00 USD per bottle. Some people do not consider white wine to even be called wine. I know my wife likes white wine. I think I found a good one meeting the under $10.00 category. This one is a Riesling from Slovenia. Plus it is in a 1.5 liter bottle. Price was $7.49 per bottle in Pennsylvania on sale. Avia is the brand, This Avia in the reds is not so great but the white is good.

Yes, I concur/agree that Avia Riesling is a good buy . I have tried it . Lot of people don't realize Slovenia produces so much wine . (Croatia, too.)
