In this video we have a comparison of two salutes. The physical dimension of a ball shall only allow so much composition to be added. In theory a canister shell can have more composition and be packaged tighter. I think you will agree the canister shell is louder.
This salute is a 1.3 product from Lynch Imports; these are a new item and not listed in the current catalog. If you have an ATF Fireworks please visit their website with this link.

Would you like to obtain an ATF Fireworks license to purchase 1.3 fireworks in United States? I sell a video/application package that walks you through the procedure. You can order the package on my website pyrotalk.com with this link.

yeah, very very impressive can salute . nice big round titanium break, too . this video doesn't even really convey how intense they were in person .

I would LOVE to mix these in my little show I'm gonna have on the 4th. I bought a case of Excalibur shells amongst other things, these would mingle with those VERY nicely!

I bought a case of 3" canister salutes I am anxious to try this year. I'll post a video comparison of those if I can.

Our supplier in Nebraska sells 2 inch salute luckily. The thing I don't understand is, why can a 2 inch canister salute shell fit inside an Excalibur tube?

They aren't actually 2" cans....they are 1.75". A DR-11 HDPE tube is typically 1.91" ID Inside Diameter & 2.4" OD. so these are made with the appeal to the 1.4g market guys that have 1 3/4" racks. There are 1.3g 2" shells available for true 2" guns--but most people use 2 1/2". A little more punch in a small shell when you are dealing with issues of distance at a small shoot site.
