Length of a display

Ok let talk some fireworks. How long is your 4th display usually run? I am trying to fit all my stuff with in a 30 minute timeframe. I have received some information that it might be too long! What you think?

30 minutes should be fine as long a you have a good pace to keep the audiences attention. I like to start off fast, slow it down a bit and then really rock and roll the finale.

Like pyrodude. I believe 30 is fine. I go for anywheres 20 - 30 minutes. depending on product I have at that time. I to like the fast, somewhat fast, slow, speed up, then finale approach

Very true Pyro nut. I learned that as well. First couple shows I did I went for length time wise and was a mistake, but I like to learn the hard way.LOL

A 15-25 minute show seems to be my best time, i try to figure out how long a product is going to fire and combine the times to figure out where I am goin to be at by the time the finale hits, if I feel its to soon I will ad a false finale then give it a 10-20 second break and hit the real finale. hope this is helpful in some way

yeah i like the 20 minute mark, it leaves the audience wanting a little... something extra. with a great finale it really gets 'em going.

30 min is a good round figure, i do about 30 to 40 min it just depends how much you have. nowing your time on each prodduct helps to shells you can go slow or fast fast to slow. i have 150 shells to 250. cakes 200gm, 500gm, 2 or 3,even 4 at a time. hand light or elct just depends, my grand finale is fast. i do a false finale wait 20 to 30 s then i let it rip.

that exactly what i do. i love to have my 15-20 mn show and then mess around with shells and fountains and firecrackers and roman candles and rockets. it is very fun, especially with an audiance that wants to see different effects and not just a non stop show.

Also keep in mind its 15 to 20 minutes the 2nd 3rd and 4th....lol

I find that 15min is about the right length of time for a show. The main thing to remember is not how long your show is as much as what unique effect you can use to get their attention and leaving them wanting more. You don’t need lots of $ to accomplish this ether. Try using items in a different way and layering items that shoot way up with items that are a little lower. Like a nice 500g cake with a complimentary 200g cake. Or a roman candle barrage or a SMB barrage ECT…..

I think 20 minutes is the magic number for a consumer or display show. Although even more important is the finale. A 5 minute show that really impresses the crowd is better than a 20 minute show with one shell every 4-5 seconds followed by a volley of shells for a "finale"

The 15-20 mins is a good rule for a general show but don't try "make" your show fit that.
If your short on product do 12 good mins don't drag it out and bore people.
Some will try do so much product in 20 mins that its a waste with effects stepping all over each other.

30 Min is kind of long if you look at it in PYRO-TIME. I try to keep my shows between 15-20 minutes, last year it was 23 on the dot, it seemed alright though.

Well after many different layouts it looks like we will have a show around 22 -25 minutes. Now the problem is that this will be the first time that I efire all of our products so there could be some glitches! Thanks for all of your input! This really got me focused on our shot sequence, per second shot cont, etc...

how long should a wedding show be? I have a buddys wedding in sept. with 14- 200g, 16 -500g, and about 150 shells. they are all from bigs pro assortments, and a 1 1/2 cases of pro shells. I am hoping to get 10 minutes out of it.

I have done 2 weddings But I like to keep it to 5 - 10 min, dont want to take up other's time since it is important event

22-25 Seems pretty good MO. How long did you plan the finale out to be? I usually go for 1 min and under. I try not to sky puke until around 25-40sec in.
