Ok, I have seen the AFW - Sun Shower video from WFBoom, and was kind of skeptical about this cake... but after finding this video Im posting... I will definitely look into getting a case of these on a future purchase. These effects are real nice!

Hi, CafreakinBOOM, I think you're not only just a fan to fireworks but a very professional I think. hahaha...

The size of the ball is much smaller than what it's claimed in the label. It might be 54mm I think. That's very commom in your market for the accetpable price and its real effects. Besides that, I think this cake with shells is well made and labeled, at least in the apprearance, well placed , quite stable in the base and with appropriate distance for each shot, ( is this from Brothers?) Though I can also understand why you think it's a big scam.

Actually the products for US market, should be comform strictly to the AFSL standard, that requires the total chemical composition of the cake should be less than 500 grams and each of that in one shot's is less than 52gram, considering your costs for that, it's of the medium cost performance I think.

I am not so good as you in professional knowledge, but I am so glad you made me know your thoughts of that and share your good skill of it, thank you !
:)

I think the effects of this cake you showed secondly is comparatively plain. I guess the size of tubes are from 0.8" to 1.0", or even smaller. Am I right? I hope you'll find more exciting ones....

This effects are fabulously great! I love it! At least it's better than what our factory can make.
Would you mind telling me does it shoots artillery shells or just double inner tubes inside ? How big is the tubes? 1.5" or 2"? It's really amazing!

That first video was a 3" 9 shot cake in the 500 Gram category. We have a thing in the U.S. called "False Advertisement" .
They are blatantly saying its a 3" shell, when its not. This is called false advertisement, and the cost for these cakes is ridiculous.
We like to buy our product for what it is and for quality. For instance, I will never buy a 9OAB. They are way too much. I can buy a case of canister shells for less money and have it perform the same way.

The second one he posted was a 350 Gram. Cant really compare a 350Gram to a 500Gram.

As an end consumer, I totally agree with and understand your concern. Maybe the dealers in USA have their own considerations and the manufacturer in China just do as what they requested in the orders. If you have a chance to be in China, I will show you an authentic 3" cake or else you want... :)

For the second, I am not comparing it with a 500G one, just comparing with a same category. :-P

Ya the effects are really nice on that one. I'll try and answer your questions the best I can. I believe it shoots a "peanut" type shell so it's a single tube that has a double break shell. I also believe it's a 1.75" tube. I hope that helps.

Yes, most likely peanut shells. And even if it is a 2" shell/tube - It still is only going to have the max composition for the consumer grade.

They should probably look like this packed in the tube:

I have not used an authentic 3" cake yet, but I have used an authentic 2.5" cake with the pro company I work for. I would love to see an authentic 3" cake in person!

If you skip to 2:37, that is the 25 shot 2.5" Brocade Crown we used.

Pyromaniac1981....I know what you are saying in regards to the 3" tubes on a 9OAB. That is why we have made all of our cakes smaller. This allows us to save space on containers as well as WASTE less paper. There is always some type of waste, but by making the tubes actual size to match the shell size we eliminate a lot of paper and we have less of an impact on the environment. The shells in our old cakes were 3" shells but they were a shell within a shell. By eliminating the outer shell, we were able save even more wasted paper. This also allowed us to keep the items affordable, and pass the saving onto out customers. You can see all of our 9 shot cakes at www.wfboom.com Be sure to check out Blast Radius while you are there. I think you will like it as well.

Well CYNTHYAFIREWORKS I believe that BROTHERS brand Fireworks is a owned by somebody in China. (not quite sure):p
However those fake 3'' shells say "MAID IN CHINA"

Regarding The "Black Moon Rising" cake that's just 300 gram cake. Worth $15. dollars. a good deal for a salute cake. Almost like a 25 shot TK. in the 1.3 class not readily available for the consumer.

:o I do agree with CYNTHYAFIREWORKS that they have to meet certain requirements to keep a Fireworks Cake stable...

In this next video we have a Firework that is not going to tip over, " Its very stable ".

I have noticed that there are no cakes stating that they are 3" within the AFW/Glorious brands. Most of my experience has only been with these brands by the way.
I really love most of these items too.

One thing I should have made clear about not purchasing a 9OAB.... I would not purchase any that states it as being a 3".

What? You have videos? :) :) lol

I think I must have watched every video on your website probably about 25 times each over the years, haha.
I have had the Blast Radius.. awesome cake.

I currently have but did not light yet.....
Challenger case
Grenadier case
Power 10 Asst. - I did have a case of Arctic Thunder which Im guessing is almost the same as the power 10. Also a good cake
Power 9 Asst.
Power 8 Asst.
12 shot Asst.

Just have not had time to use them.

HI Pyromaniac1981 Hey do you prefer sound over display effect or do they go hand in hand? Do you have a Favorite consumer Cake?
I am already looking for that Special 4th of July Cake. I don't know if we have WFBOOM here on the West Coast, If I come across one of those cakes you mentioned
it will be going in my basket. We have BOOMCITY in Marysville WA. ( a swap-meet of over 500 Fireworks Vendors). I guess we are not Lucky enough to have a WFBOOM.

Maybe WFBOOM should build a NEW FIREWORKS WAREHOUSE next the NEW WALMART going up. :D

" I have like 14 more CONSUMER FIREWORKS I DISLIKE Videos " for CYNTHYAFIREWORKS :o

" I also have a few of My Favorites That I do like " I just cant find the Video to post it on here.

Well one of them is a Girandola cake by MEAN MONKEY Brand. Its called Up something....... cant remember... Maybe CYNTHYAFIREWORKS can find it?

I do think sound and effect go hand in hand.

I did a little search and there is a place in WA. that carries some Glorious brand.
I see they have a 24shot Spirit by Glorious.
Also a Liberty Show, but now its called Liberty Parade.
Also, they have Tropical Typhoon and Blast Radius

This Z style cake is really awesome as you said, with it's fantastic rhythem and the bright color stars. Since it's 210 shots, I guess the size of the inner tubes be less than 16mm. The thickness of the tube should be relatively thicker than common ones, for such high shooting speed, it then won't blowout or burnout. I have some other good videos for V shape and W,Fan shape, would like to share with you sometime in future.

Very nice multi-shot. Correct me if Im wrong, but that has to be a professional cake by U.S. standards. What size are those tubes?

cynthiafireworks
08-02-2013, 11:37 PM
No, it's actually for common consumers in China, not a really professional one, and that is also my point! There's no distinctive difference between consumer & professional cakes, esp for export orders, all just per the customer requests.

The size of this cake is 30*36*250mm, 100 shot. Actually the actual visual effects are far more stunning and more impressive than the video.

cynthiafireworks
08-02-2013, 11:56 PM
But, according to AFSL, the single tube size bigger than 25mm or smaller than it has its real limitation.
usually whole chemical composition in a single shot should be less than 52Gram, so that's why common consumers in USA are not allowed to use a cake like the upper one which is very popular in our Chinese market and some area in south-eath Asia.

Welcome you put up more opinions with thanks! :)

We most likely would still have to import those under 1.3G anyway. Our fireworks laws suck in the U.S..

hi pyromaniac, if your referring to the combat zone cake as possibly a 1.3, it actually is a 1.4 consumer cake. the local firework store here sells it, and when I talked to the owner before the 4th, they were selling pretty quickly.

Yes, I agree with Josereyn74, even the one I posted is also belongs to the 1.4G category consumer fireworks. Just not suitable for US market for your regulation that the chemical composition of all combinations should be under 500Gram, or 200 grams depending on the tube size.

It's a pity!

yes, i got the impression that United States spent around $600 million in fireworks a year, about $400 million of it is spent on 1.4G consumer fireworks. Even we all know that US market is getting harder and harder to explore, I still knew it's quite an awesome figure for providers like us, but actually we offer our direct customer for big orders like $0.21/shot, for the effect like "Snowwhite" you like, and that is exactly made in our factory. If you want to see them in US consumer market, we just need to make the cake smaller and cut the shots of a combination and reserve the same effects of every tubes, trying to meet US market and AFSL etc.
