ABOUT the OMB No. 1140-0072 Employee Possessor Questionnaire

Hello. Do any of you who are ATF licensed have any info on this form. (OMB No.1140-0072)

Do Employee Possessors submit the questionnaire for every show?, every year? , how often?

Is this form necessary even for people not seeking to get an ATF license?


Is this a Federal requirement by every State, or only some States?


My last question is: am I a "PYROTECHNICIAN" after filing out the form? LOL :cool:

The EPQ is only if your working for a pro company. It gives you the right to transport and handle explosives only under the companies authority.

I have the Employee Possessor Clearance in Ca. It is required for the company you are working for. In my case Pyrospectaculars. It is necessary in California, but I am not sure about other states. It is neccesary for every person to obtain one, whom is working on the show whether they want become a licensed Pyro or not. You have to renew it every 2 years. On a side note, the ATF through the DOJ conducts a background check, and basically looks for the same stuff as a gun permit check.
