So Dave asked a question about the amount of shells it would take for a $3500 display.

Well, being a pyromaniac, I thought I would go ahead and plan an IMAGINARY show just for fun and was wondering how much you bigger company guys would charge a client based on the amount I would spend at the end of this project. I am in no way trying to actually do this. This is just for fun purposes. Also, I think it would be neat to see what kind if responses I get. I know you may not throw numbers out there because you dont know whos in competition, but I figure I'd ask anyway. I will use Kellners pricelist as a guide. Im not going to post this all at once and its gonna take me a little while, so ill come back and post to this thread when I start organizing the cakes and shells. This will all be 1.3G items.

I will post the cake size/shot count, shell size/ amount that come in a case, and how many cases I would use.
And also some sort of shoot sequence that I have in mind. Just let me know what you think and follow along as I play with a bit of imagination.

This was just an idea that I had after reading Daves post and would like to share it with all of you on here.

One more thing... It will be a non-musical hand/electronic display.

Ok, so here are all the items that I would use for this "imaginary" display. It took me roughly an hour to decide on what I wanted.
I know you may look at this and be like, "Why only one 12" shell?". Well, Im the artist and I have a plan for everything. Even if theres only one shell. :)

Next post will be the items listed for the Opener, Body, and Finale. Not necessarily in order though per segment. Just a rough idea.

Did you saw my post in Dave thread

I did, Laquil. Do you mean the one where you said to be prepared for Maltese Fireworks to come to the U.S.? If so, that would be totally awesome.

And if you really wanted to, you could come visit Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and I could show you around for it is where I live. The 4th of July is the date it was signed and it is the United States most Patriotic Holiday, in which thousands of cities across the U.S. have fireworks displays for. I dont know how much you know about our holidays, so I figured I give you that little bit of information.

But as for the tour I could give you;

We have:
The Liberty Bell
Independence Hall
Philly Cheese Steaks you would love.
South Street
The Philadelphia Mint (where U.S. money is made)
The William Penn Tower
The Betsy Ross House ( she made the american flag)
The Philadelphia Art Museum (July 4th fireworks displays are held here)
Penns Landing (New Years Fireworks held here)

Just to name a few things that 37 million people from all over the world came to see just last year.

I love these sequences with 300 12 inch shells where the 'Hanabi shakdamas speak for themselves...in the music of fire this even is extremely elegant...don't think it can be done for 3500 though

just out of interest a 'shaka' is the standard unit equivalent to 12 inches or a size ten...all the large Japanese shells are sized based on the 'shaka' hence there are no 16 inch shells in Japan 12, 24, 36, and 48...the 48 inch shell is 'yon'shakadama
