Remove Paper sheet on top of Shot Vapor Trails Fireworks

I never lit one before and was wondering if I should remove the top paper to expose the fireworks before I lit it.

The only reason we remove the tops from cakes is clean up is easier. There are cakes out there with a plastic cover on them that must be removed before lighting.

Not necessary but I found it helped with fanticon by world class (Jake's fireworks) as the cake has a cardboard top unlike most paper tops... some also come with plastic tops which cover the paper that state you must remove from cake prior to lighting piece.
