Hi,

I'm a new member and a passionate fireworks enthusiast looking to elevate my displays. This year, I invested in two Ignite firing system for my 4th of July show, and now I'm pursuing an ATF license to access 1.3G fireworks for future events. In Maine, this requires assisting in at least five shows under a Maine licensed fireworks technician and passing an exam on NFPA 1123 and 1124.

I'm seeking a licensed technician in Maine or close to who can mentor me through these five shows. If you're a licensed operator or know someone who might be willing to help, I’d greatly appreciate your guidance or any leads on local opportunities.

not sure what direction you want to go. I suggest to see who is doing displays in your area and offer to help on a few shows.

There are only a few larger company's in Maine. im having a hard time finding individuals who are licensed these 5 shows have to be under a Maine licensed tech. I have been trying to track down people who may have a license with no avail . I am willing to pay for their time and the shows as well. I had a really good lead today from the manager of phantom firework's but that fell apart today as they didn't go though with getting licensed. This is proving to be really hard and disheartening. I'm not giving up by any means, I'm going to get licensed.

so maybe I am misinterpreting question 13 on the ATF application. After reading though some of the other post here it seem like the ATF has no oversight over state regulations. Does question 13 just apply to business? as I'm just a hobbyist i can put No as an answer to this question ? and deal with the state side at a later date.

For example i could be shooting of in another state but would still need the ATF license to purchase. I am expecting my DVD from Dave to arrive any day no so maybe this will be answer in those.
