Getting the word out to the usual volunteer helpers for the Collier Sportsman Club shoot. August 23, 2025. At the last minute they decided to have a fireworks display to close the picnic. This will be a Consumer Fireworks and Articles of Pyrotechnic display. While it’s not necessary you can even bring something to add or do you own little display to add in. This one is located near Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I did a Zambelli fireworks display years back for Flag Day in Collier Township. The story goes this township is the birthplace of the original Flag Day . They have an annual celebration. The sportsman club upper shooting range was used to shoot the display. The club offered us to come to the club house for some food , use the facilities etc. Fireworks were not legal in PA at the time however we had a small group of fireworks enthusiast and were always looking for a place to shoot. The president of the club offered me to bring the group to the annual picnic and shoot. One of the club members worked for the township and obtained a permit. When we finished that first show , they loved it , they gave us all a free membership to the club. Then it became something that has continued over the years. It a not for profit display with volunteer help. Something fun. I have videos posted from prior shoots.
