Double match cakes

Anyone match both ends of a comsumer cakes to speed up the firing?

I've done this a few times to accentuate a couple of big points in a show, and have also double matched both ends of a large chain fused mortar rack (24 or more tubes) to speed up firing during a finale. Have also used the light grey "fast" fuse for the latter application (I usually use pink) but man does that stuff blow off hot and fast. So much so, that the last time I did that the fuse itself burned so intensely it burned the whole rack off nearly all at once.

i do and what i do is use fast fuse all the fuses inside the cake and then put a emacth style ignitor in the first and last tube to make it basically a instant fire cake for my finales.
