Ok I am new to this and the whole slat stuff so I am learning. Do I need to put a shunt on the end of each one? I watched the cobra video and it got me confused in that area.

Slats need a terminating shunt on the opposite end DB25 from the input, if they are series type. Parallel types do not need the shunting plug. I'm using mostly parallel type slats just to avoid the added foolishness of having to make sure shunt plugs are installed, though I do have half a dozen series slats I got along with one of the 72M's I purchased second hand. I do have the needed terminator shunts installed on those.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was sorta thinking just not 100% on it.

I probably should've added that you can daisy chain multiple series slats together (just as you can with parallel slats), and the last one in the chain will require the terminator shunt plug to be present at the open end. I don't think you can mix series and parallel slats on the same chain, or at least I've never tried it on the assumption it wouldn't work correctly. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure what the results of that would be. Don't recall seeing anything in Cobra's tutorials on use of mixed slats that say, but my gut just tells me it is a bad idea.
And of course, one still needs to observe the per cue current limits when firing multiple initiators from one port. Length of cables and wire gauge if same also factors into this, as does whether one is running on 9V batteries, LiPO, or external battery supply.
