Longtime lurker, first poster. I have learned immense amounts from this forum and thank everyone for helping to educate me, even though you didn't know it before.

My question is pretty straightforward, so the TL;DR is: Can I simultaneously operate a Cobra firing system with a cheap China system? (Specifically, the
BILOSOCN system which allegedly operates at I think 433 MHz.)

The background is that I have I have a total of 126 Cobra cues, via a 72M and 3x 18Ms. I am going bigger with individual shells rather than being so cake-dependent this 4th of July. Many of the shells will be finale-oriented so the timing will not be particularly important for racks of 24-50, but there are ~60 shell events that I would like timed precisely. I simply do not have the cues in my Cobra system to accommodate that, and I am not ready to drop the coin on a new 72M yet. The plus is that those 60ish events will be very easy to manually fire. I was able to pick up a used 72-cue BILOSOCN system for less than $150. It occurred to me, however, that there could be a risk of wireless interference by operating the two systems at the same time. Does anyone have any experience or technical knowledge on this? I think the Cobra system is in the 2.4 GHz band, so I don't anticipate a problem, but still, I'd like a little reassurance before I inadvertently wreck my whole show.

Thanks!

I'm a cobra user and there have been times where I've had a cue separate separate from the main firing position. Rather than waste a module or run scab wire, I've broken out one of my old Bilosocn and the controller to hit that cue. I've done this multiple times and never had an issue.

Exactly the info I was looking for, thank you!

Glad you got the answer to your question. Many fireworks enthusiast browse the forums and when they feel it is time, they may formally post a question or comment. I encourage users to at least make an account; this opens up attachments and pictures to full view when browsing. This website has been in operation since 2011. Using the search function should open up all sorts of information on a topic.
.
On a side note, if I remember correctly the Firelinx firing system has a frequency search function if needed. Then it gives you the option of the best frequency available to use, to prevent possible interference. This is for venues like concerts where there may be multiple wireless devices being used at a concert or large event.
