Raw footage with leftover. No editing will be done.

Got to play around with some new ideas for this year 4th. Some I will not be adding like the stage report flash that started the show in the count down. Can’t reason with paying $35 for that effect, thought it would be more impressive. It was cool just not $35 cool

get you a "thunder mug" instead. Black powder and hot dog bun for wading. or flash and no wad. "mug" is ~$200 but the charges are pretty cheap. Or if you have a lathe just make them out of stainless or alloy whatever size you want

I do have 6 concussion mortar bases. I use the #5 19g made by Le Maitre. There amazing and hit really hard. Highly recommended!

2025 4th show will be rock music and my thought was a mortar flash report like below to give that rock concert feel and look.

My guess is that because these are made for close proximity they’re just not giving me what I’m looking for.

This was only a test I shot at 75’.

In comparison if you watch the first cake going off at the ground level I use a #3 10g report’ at 240’ which hit harder.

My hope was to have a #3 to hopefully #5 level of concussion with the flash and white mushroom cloud.

My other option is to do a report and this close proximity one at the same time to get the effect am looking for but that brings it up to $64 each and I need 6 … not happening

Well, there is your issue. Premade things from the UK. use some fine BP and a wad of your choice since you already have the concussion mortars. OR make some flash(carefully) and dump it in. $64 for a little bang is silly unless someone else is paying and its required. The "safest" would be the fine BP and that would give you the smoke and the noise.
