Used the new tape this weekend for a show. It's not nearly as tacky as the original....they clearly reduced the amount of glue.

PyroDirect DR11 tubes have a 1.5" wood plug. Great tubes, great price and great customer service.

As previously mentioned, no advantage to 15" guns...save your money and muscle, stay with 12".

All my MCRs have 25 guns and 3/4" scrap plywood on the base. I'll take a 1.5" screw and drive through the plywood into the bottom of the plug on the gun.

+1...very good points. If you looking for the flash & thump, make ground salutes. May not have the same effect, but much safer for you and your audience than altering a manufactured shell.
