How fast is that thing turning? RPM's 30-45 is the number you want to shoot for depending on the drum shape.
Tests show at that rpm you get more uniform size batches.

You want to use a Single Base Smokeless Powder any of the IMR powders are single base 4795 is the fastest and has the least amount of inhibitors and stabilizers in it.
