I have a problem with it if they're getting a manufacturer in trouble without any verifiable proof that they've actually done anything wrong, even if it's out of ignorance. It's tough enough as it is...
Especially when this isn't the first video out there of one of these being taken apart. Really, this all should common knowledge. Buyer beware. You don't need to be taking your fireworks apart to...
Saw that one coming. We're talking spam-bot levels of incoherence.
I've wondered the same thing (more along the line of a 1.75"-ish mine). :) You'd be amazed what you can make work. I discovered that an old Gatorade bottle makes a great on-the-fly case-former for 3"...
You get that itchy trigger finger when it's not *quite* dark enough to shoot (experienced multiple instances of that this past weekend). :)
Glad to know I'm not the only one who does this! :D
Really looking forward to getting some time to sit down and watch this... It is by far my favorite series of videos. :)
Haven't seen a thread here, yet, so I figured I'd raise it up.
If you're a member and you haven't yet signed up, they just posted a date of the 5th to get registrations in for the "Go/No Go"...
I've been strongly considering signing up in 2013... Though, I probably won't be able to make it out all the way out to Pennsylvania next year. The fact that they don't seem to come out west very...
I think those bacon sundaes are a promotional thing they're doing all over the place... I know they have them out here. :)
Nice! I think this next year may be the year I finally upgrade to a firing system. Hand lighting everything this year was exhausting... And we ended up the evening with stuff left over.
I'd be interested. :)
I remember these: http://www.flickr.com/photos/60585948@N00/3822907287/in/photostream/
I think there are some articles on the subject in Best of AFN II and/or III. Worth checking out if you have the book, or are looking to make a purchase.
Peek at some video first... If they're what I think they are (I have them on my wish list), the go-getters are more like flying fish and less like what you'd expect to see in a traditional go-getter...
Glad to see they were able to pull this together on such short notice!
Check the PGI's website: http://www.pgi.org/training/ (under "What am I expected to do to become certified?"). They have a co-lead provision for areas where you need to be certified in order to be a...
Decent go-getters are becoming like crosettes (another favorite of mine)... It's very hard to find decent versions of either in 1.4. All of the new go-getter/scrambling comet cakes look pretty...
Yeah, that was also something new for me. Was surprised at how well it worked. Made it easier to reclaim the wood, afterwards.
Call me crazy, but I've always wondered what the point of diminishing returns is on those salute cakes. :) I mean, I like noise as much as the next guy... But... Sometimes it gets to be a bit over...
I still have a soft spot for Americana from Brothers, because I like the go-getters: http://youtu.be/_STCbDlHkNQ
I've never tried liquid nails... But, I've had good luck with those plastic zip-ties. The only thing I don't like is that leave those little bits of plastic all over the place to clean up after...
I'm out West (California)... But, because of that, I have to travel out of state to do all my shooting. =P
I've placed two orders with them this year, and I haven't had any issues... But I ordered my fuse back in April, so they probably weren't as busy.
Too bad about the weather... But talk about dedication, standing out there in the cold and wet like that. :)
I'm always amazed by how long those cakes burn, once they get going.
Love it! When I was into model rocketry, I experimented with a few cluster configurations. I've seen some 2-stage fireworks rockets, but this is the first time I've seen a cluster rocket.
