If you can expose the fuse on the side of the tube in the middle & poke there & insert & tape the black match you will be 100% sure of ignition.

Not sure if the last row on your cakes is a ""fast row"--but why not just poke it in the middle of the cake and light it from there--let it go from the middle to the front & middle to the back???Then...
