I previously posted a video from my friends visit to China where he attended an event that demonstrates some of the equipment used to make fireworks in China. It looks like he posted another video. That was extremely interesting!! I see they are just using a plain roll of paper tape & the machine is putting the glue on both sides as it goes thru the little hopper and out to the shell. Still wheat paste & paper--just a lot faster & neater!
I was wondering about the second video--from 1:33 to 1:50 it looks like they are making large cakes with the tubes cut out of a solid block of "something"--like a compressed paper pulp. Perhaps George can give us some input on this?? Has anyone seen or used a cake manufactured like this or is this something "new to production"?
