Time to start looking again. If you see any new brands snap a pic and post here.

Slim pickings here. Sky Eagle Salute and Detonator watercracker boxes. Also a new Wise Guy Big Splash like the earlier one from 2007 that also included the word 'Dynamite'. Is the word no longer allowed on consumer fireworks?

I found some decent side fused ones.. New to me, definitely not a preban side fused cracker... Casing barely split but there wasn't much clay....which made me happy to see.

Had a few new to me brands this year, many underperformed... The latest zebra by black cat were pretty good, all black crackers.

Any pics of those new brands? A Zebra by Black Cat is new to me!

Are those zebras the ones from Victory?

Blast Cracker is a new one to me. If anybody sees them for sale I would appreciate a holler.

Know who imports them or the logo they are sold under? Have a pic?

4321 This one I would like a source to buy.

4322 This one a man at a retailer/wholesaler gave me. Said they came from Spain. That's all I know. Would like to know more.

Any help greatly appreciated.

The bottom crackers may look like Spanish ones but they definitely didn't come from Spain....

Do you know where they came from. I think I know who the man was that gave them to me, but not 100% sure. He doesn't own the business he was visiting when I was picking up a wholesale order of cases.

They might not even be firecrackers. Can't tell these days. Some are even marked Salutes and use the standard firecracker warnings!4323

They're from China for the Chinese market. Most (but not all) true Spanish crackers will have Bickford or time fuse unlike the green visco pictured and won't have a copywrite infringed image of Angry Birds on the crackers, lol!

Bickford? That is dynamite fuse with tar around the powder train and wrapped in heavy thread and varnished. Its at least a quarter inch thick. Only use in fireworks is for shell timers and there it must be cross-matched for proper ignition. I doubt if it is made any more.

Okay.....the name has been interchanged like Kleenex is to tissue. it's still a quarter inch thick time fuse which can be primed with slurry at the tip for ignition. It's still commonly used in German cube crackers by Weco.

Bickford has been replaced with what is generally called "Jap time fuse" by the builders of small shells. Spolettes are still rammed for timers on the bigger shells.

Thanks guys for the info. Doing google searches I found some pictures of the Blast Crackers with other names. They look like these (case is like a hard plastic not paper) with the same design but different name ie football crackers and the top half was red and botttom half white. Some even had the name of a football team on them. I have a box of the one pictured but would like to add the one's with the football team on if I can find any. Again thanks guys.

Ok I now see the copywrite infringement of the Angry Birds. So these were likely some kind of boot legged cracker. I did lite one and it just went woosh out of the end with the fuse. No bang or anything.

Black cat brick wrap... And all black crackers. Ok for modern, they don't perform as well as the reproduction thunderbombs I got..But still fun.

Football crackers pop up occasionally... There were some called blast crackers, blaster balls, super balls and like a million other names.

I think champion makes the team logo ones, but I haven't seen any state side. I've seen their red an blue ones here.... I wasn't impressed.

I was gifted a bag of the green/red "Bird Egg Crackers"., plastic bag of 50 about 5 years ago. Don't know what they cost, but they were good, even with the wimpy fuses (one FTF out of the whole bag), fuse quit burning right at the entry point. Powder was medium dark, and coarse/gritty. Quite loud, the green half stretched and deformed, but the red part fragged into sharp-edged schrapnel.

Yeah the fuses and extra flash were their big draw backs... Seen a bag of 36 the other day, but was asking $20... I passed. They came in a variety of sizes and counts. The 36 counts were often labeled as 100...lol China math

Maybe they were using a heximal (base 6) system, where 36 would be written as 100. (However, that would seem more likely in parts of New Guinea and the Congo than in China.)

I have video of those bird egg plastic firecrackers. That plastic hit me in the leg. I'll post the video tonight. Terrible fuse on those also.

I have lit a few of the blast crackers and they are much much louder than a regular firecracker. Owner of a retail fireworks store in northern PA. gave me 2 packs of 20.

Blast cracker 4381

Golden Deer I think is cute 4380

I got a bag of these bigger soccer balls from Northeast Fireworks in Tioga, they are louder than the smaller super balls, the Silver salutes or the "safe crackers"

They are by far the loudest cracker I have ever used. I will be getting more of these next time I make a run to their store. I think I paid 5-10 dollars for the bag of 20 of them.

I will post of a video of all of them compared next week.

NE Fireworks in Tioga is correct. $5 for a bag of 20 or $40 for a box of 10 bags. They are louder than any of today's firecrackers that I know of.
Will be waiting to see your video.

Thanks for the video. Those Blast Crackers are loud. Have you noticed that some seem to be a little louder ? Seems that way to me. Don't know a if tad more powder in it or case a little stronger or both. Good video.

Oh for sure, they seem to be various load strengths just like the other superballs and any of the others. If you watch the "safe crackers" back to back they are different in strength. Thats why I did 2 of each as they do seem to vary a bit in power

I think that Muskie one may be a reproduction. I believe I have some packs of those.

It is very possible. I don't know much about these, I just collect different packs as a hobby. For some reason the Phoenix keep sounding/looking familiar.

Muskie is not a reproduction, just a new brand from Victory that came out in 2005. Sort of looks like the old Fish brand from W.L. Stewart though.

I saw one just like the Musky except it was a picture of a trout instead of a musky. Looked like the same guy sitting on the trout that is on the musky.

Fish brick label. Stewart is famous for Home Run, Round One, Touchdown, and other early brands, all rare.
