Effigy based fireworks

Hi folks ,
Is there any event in which an effigy loaded with firecrackers is ignited just like dussehra festival in india where effigy of demon ravan is burned.?
How do they do it?

This does not occur in United States as far as I know.
If I am correct these are images from the Dussehra Festival. What does that guy have some many heads. If he gets haircut does he pay 10 times as much?

I heard in MALTA they are doing making effigies of bull but not sure if it burns .
