Hello All,
Hope everyone had a great and safe 4th of July.

So I wanted to kick up our backyard display a notch this year so I started early and built some 2" hdpe racks, purchased a Cobra 18r and 5 - 18m firing modules, and a new trailer to tote it all to South Carolina from Florida for our festivities.

Boy it sure hurt the back pocket but it was worth it! My first shoot with the system went perfect and the best part was I got to enjoy the shoot with the rest of my family and friends. Plus now I own the equipment!

Can't wait till New Years!!!

PS: Was thinking about getting a display license but it seem like such a pain in the a$$ in Florida.

Phil

There are many pyrotalk members on the forums from the state of Florida. That is great, glad to have you all. You looking good with all those racks. Unless I am missing something it is not necessary to place the racks on that elevated platform. Some variation in the terrain should not matter that much. Not sure if you have been following the forums when Florida member Bezerk recently got approval from the ATF on a self built magazine in Florida.

The elevated platforms were left over from last year, so I used them.

Yes, I have been following Bezerk's post. The magazine would be the first hurdle.

Wow.... That rack setup is making my eyes water! Fabulous setup!! I told the wife we're going to have to let the youngest girl skip a semester of college so I can buy a Cobra system and more racks!! I won't tell you what she said, but I suffice it to say, the girl's going back to college in a few weeks. :(

As for the display license, I never get one. The cops down here don't seem to care what you're shooting or even THAT you're shooting. So that's a big plus for me.

Do you travel to SC because the cops in Jax give you a hassle?

Very nice! Glad to hear you feel like the Cobra $ was well spent. That's definitely on my wishlist.
