I thought this was cool video showing how those ball shell hemi are made. I never figured it was this way. Next time I see one I am going to see if I can see this lines on where the cuts are and how it is held together.

Does the structure of the casing ever manipulate with the break of the shell? For and example, there are two shell casings, and they are plastic or paper. Do they differ?

You better believe the casing material and thickness affect the break symmetry and range of the shells. Paper breaks much more consistently, while plastic really needs a hard break to get a symmetric pattern in the sky.
