Shellman
09-30-2014, 03:45 PM
haha yeah we were very excited, this was filmed from 70 meter maybe more. So you can imagen how big it was and one of the guys, was standing 5 meters from the cake. But one of the end salute's exploded on the ground, so we were laughing. (he was okey, nothing happenenend) :)

Here is a movie from a very nice Italien firecracker, it's called a Cipolla. It contains 100 grams of flash powder, and it makes a LOT of noise! :)

PGH_Pyro

that's about = 2.5" aerial salute I think .

Shellman
10-01-2014, 05:39 PM
5 CM high and 6,5CM wide, so that's same. You mean an ground salute?

PGH_Pyro
10-01-2014, 08:43 PM
no, aerial salute . has lift charge under it .

Shellman
10-02-2014, 05:11 AM
Oh my bad, you mean they have the same amound of flashpowder. Yeah that could be, I never had the 2,5". I do know, with 3" salute's, it depends what kind of brand you have. The lidu are heavier than Xplode.

Shellman
10-03-2014, 12:58 PM
Speaking of salute's, here is an video from a 3" salute. (Xplode)

2 celebration crackers, both are 100.000. They don't have a 100.000 crackers, but that's how they call it.

TAU is 1/3 of the indicated #, I believe . so, those are probably approx. 30,000 cracker strings.

Shellman
10-09-2014, 04:28 PM
Could be my friend, I didn't count them. ;) But 30.000 is a lot!

Here is another reason the term Tau got to go. It has to be the most misunderstood term in fireworks.

How does that signal rocket work? I do not see a stick on it. Do they supply a stick and you must tape it on? Am I missing something.
They look well made.

seems the norm over there that you buy the rocket header and attach your own stick

its a zink 901 from germany, professional fireworks.

yes you tape it to a stick and use it as a rocket.
doesn't come with a stick, but a good dealer will also give you sticks.

Most of the time they shell it with the sticks, but you can't buy them in a fireworks shop. It's a cat.4 firerocket, but high Quality, they are the best that i have ever seen. Can you buy them in the USA Or do you know the brand Zink? It's from Germany.

Three different signal rockets, the zink 902 is the best in my opinion. What do you think?

I like the way the first one sounded at 20 seconds. It had a sharp sound like a sudden thunderbolt. If I have a choice I like a salute without a titanium cloud.
.
Ik hou van de manier waarop de eerste klonk op 20 seconden. Het had een scherp geluid als een plotselinge bliksemschicht. Als ik een keuze die ik graag een groet zonder titanium wolk.

If you don't like the titanium cloud, than is the 901 the best signal rocket there is. On this Side of the ocean offcourse :). I agree on the thunderbolt part, but for me is the 902 the best. I realy love that one, with his awesome tail and heavy thunder sound. Did you here the echo? :D
