Does anyone know how to make golden crackling stars? I've seen many compositions, but some don't crackle as good as others. Any good formulas?
-Thanks!

Hi Wizard,

If you let me give you an advice, i'd like to advice you to find the Shimizu and the Winokur mixes on google. Be sure you can trust these compositions developped by real pyromasters for many years of work and expertise.
Nobody answered after 10 days. So i think nobody knows, or they didn't read your question ;-) Maybe you should ask to Vikingpyrotecnics here, or to nedgorsky on youtube. I'm pretty sure they will help you more precisally ;-)

RunBang is right with recommending Shimizu or Winokur. They "wrote the book" on formulations.
Here is a formula to keep you occupied:

Lead Tetraoxide

0.648

Copper oxide

0.139

Magnalium, 230-mesh
0.176

Aluminum, dark flake
0.037

1. VikingPyrotechnics still hasn't responded to me
2. I believe if I ask someone on Youtube, they wouldn't get back to me since they probably have other questions to answer.
