This is one of my videos from 2012. I was at a Crackerjack fireworks event when someone showed up with one of these antique bird scare devices.
From the markings it was made by Reed Joseph Company in Greenville Mississippi.
Made in Belgium originally and imported into the United States, as close as we can figure it was somewhere in the 1960's.
Here is a copy and paste of a question I received from my YouTube channel. If anyone knows more about this please let me know I will give you his contact information.

.
This is why I try to get as much detail as I can when I video something unique like this.

I am finding pictures of these under THUNDERBIRD BIRD SCARE. There is even one for sale on eBay. The eBay one states it works on propane as opposed to Calcium Carbide. It does not look that hard to figure out, maybe it is I do not know.

Companies still make these things. The ones I've seen online run on propane and one modal turns to face a different direction fires and turns again and so on.

Now that we are talking about bird scare devices, I am finding more information. I am not sure if the person that ask me the original question is still following this post. Here is a video from YouTube about the same device. The guy that posted it list his number if someone has a question. perhaps he can help someone that needs to know the routing of the hoses etc.
