Listen in this video starting at the one minute mark. You will hear him read from the package about the term TAU. Its funny because these are old firecrackers and it explains that TAU is the size and it goes on to state how many firecrackers are in the package. "Truth in advertising". If I had my way the package of todays firecrackers would have to state how many are in the package, not use this TAU bullshit. There are consumer that believe the 16K roll actually has 16k firecrackers.

It's traditional I think. Kinda like some tubular fireworks say shoots flaming balls. There not balls in most cases but cylindrical.

The more I research this Tau term the more I learn about it. There is actually a debate about using Tau to replace Pi. Could this be the same Tau as we know it in firecrackers?

.
Tau is a form of measurement. I can see how big the roll of firecrackers are, I want to know how many firecrackers are contained in the roll. I say Tau must go, it does not belong on a roll of firecrackers.

Here is my Tau video from 2012. I may have to update this type of video and figure a way to count the firecrackers in some fashion.

That would be like changing from a traditional fireworks show to a laser light show and trying to convince people nothing has changed. It's a long tradition to measure firecracker rolls in tau. I feel it's a tradition that should be continued.
