Those 3 shells are what is called a "ghost shell" where the stars shift & change color, sometimes going to black & re-illuminating with different colors. Those were neat in that the inner petal was a multicolored layered effect that changed & then the outer petal also shifted through several changes.
It takes a lot of talent & precision to make stars for shells like that...getting the burn rates perfected!
I just came across the formula for "Black Lance" which is the chemical compound that is used between different color compounds in a lance to have the lance appear to not be burning-then flare out in a different color. Looks like that will be a winter experimentation project for me. Gotta love the Artistry!!!!
