Per your original question about 1.3 availability. Might want to call the Mandeville office of Pyrotecnico. They are a big display outfit and may sell 1.3 items to licensed individuals. They also hold training classes in that area.

Dave's videos are great for learning stuff. I'm mainly trying to find whole sale people that carry the brands I'm after: Dominator, world class, showtime

Go to the Sponsor page of pyrotalk and look at the information from one of my advertisers called Nite Lites aka Little China. He is located in Kentucky and ships fireworks to your state. You can email him for a paper catalog of call him. He does not have a website. You can see his current price list if keep refreshing a page on pyrotalk eventually the Nite Lites banners will appear on the top of the page. When you click it , the current price list appears. He carries some of the brands you are looking for.

Thanks Dave. Maybe when I have more experience I will start looking into Night Lites, but because of your video I now know why I can't find much dominator stuff on the shelves! So world class, show time, and possibly WFboom stuff for me now.

I buy wholesale from Spirit of 76....have a good website and good descriptions with videos. If or when i get my 54 I will try the others. Havent ever heard or seen Dave say anything about them so dont know if i can post that.

Can I inquire what a 54 is? Never heard of Spirit of 76, but will look it up and see what's what.

PGH-Pyro- the one place I saw selling red rhino was retail and didn't do a wholesale type price.

A type 54 is an ATF license that allows you to purchase display fireworks (1.3 class) Consumer fireworks are considered 1.4 class.

I wouldn't mind looking into what's needed to get my license/permits to do 1.3 stuff next year.

Dave has a 2 set dvd that he sells that explains the whole procedure. Going to give it a try getting mine this year too.

You go get yours, let me know if it was worth the hassle, and then I will decide lol. This new years will be my first "real" show and the research load alone is more than enough to keep me busy for another year or so.

For show quality I agree it's worth it, but all the other crap that goes with it I'm not sure about. My biggest issues right now are deciding which wholesale place to go with, what exactly to buy, figuring out how long all of that will last, and exactly where I'm going to do it at. I'm hoping for a good 20-30 minute show, but that's going to take some work.

For brands I'm looking at Dominator, World class, and Show time. Dominator has a lead over the other two with World Class in second.
