This will give you some perspective of fireworks in 1994 in Seattle Washington. It looks like th ecompany is Western Pyrotechnics, From what I heard Western has a strong hold on fireworks in the state of Washington. Western Pyrotechnics is the company that Dan at Tannerite is always in some battle with.
This video is from 1994. Some of the first computerized system we starting around this time. You will hear them talk about 16 inch shells.

SEATTLE - We're throwing it back to 1994! Watch as former KOMO anchors Dan Lewis and Kathi Goertzen host the "4th of Jul-Ivar's" Seattle firework show. KOMO weatherman Steve Pool, and reporter Elisa Jaffe also make appearances as fireworks light up the night sky.

In this throwback video, hundreds of people watch the west coast's largest firework display.

The good old days i remember some people in my neighborhood on Long island firing 10'' and 12'' shells right from there back yards many moons ago. What a time it was great feeling your house shake...
