Welcome to pyrotalk forums, tell us something about you and fireworks. For example what is your level of experience.

Hi, I am originally from Gibsonia PA. I moved to Indy about 15 years ago. I work as an electrician, I have loved fireworks all of my life, I started building 10 years ago. I make my own BP, black match , stars , shells, but my favorites are mines. The reason I started building is that I wanted to see the effects, or stars or whatever, that I wantedto see. Not what the class 1.4 manufacturers wanted me to see. Ive read many books on the subject ,and watched videos and I learned alot about chemestry. Mostly I just enjoy doing it . Anyway thats about it, Be Safe. Doug

Doug that sounds great please feel free to share what you know in the Fireworks Manufacturing section of the discussion forums. I am sure after 10 years you learned a lot. You should consider getting your ATF Type 54 license to purchase 1.3 products, you live near one of my advertisers Lynch Imports. I know you enjoy making your own but an ATF license gives you some protection if transporting your product becomes necessary. We can help if you need it, just to let you know.

I am in the process of getting my type 54 liscense now. I do have some family left in western PA but sadly both of my parents have passed. I do get home (it always will be home) occasionally. Doug
