I am going to need the assistance of my Dutch friends to translate this video. From my assessment it looks like large firecrackers are being targeted for elimination. This is video from the Task Force OVB.

Task Force OVB unmask almost 350 potential online orderers of heavy illegal fireworks

Prevention action successful

The action against individual orderers of heavy professional illegal fireworks shows successful.

The Task Force started on 12 november Vuurwerkbommen Detection makers (OVB) to expose the action with the aim of pizza delivery drivers and ordering from foreign webshops of life-threatening parties heavily to discourage illegal fireworks. So far, this action almost 350 orderers unmasked. The Task Force OVB put the action by until after the next year. In addition will be strictly checked by police and package services on shipments coming from Eastern Europe.



Method prevention action

Most orders of illegal fireworks are from Netherlands posted at Web shops in Poland. To gain an insight into these orders was commissioned by VeiligheidNL developed a prevention action and turned off. People who try to order heavy prohibited Fireworks be warned to refrain from ordering. The police shall inform spokesperson available for recording the video alerts, those potential ticket holders received on their personal email account. In addition, they receive a letter from the Task Force OVB on their home address containing the same warning again. The police get no insight into the personal data of the orderers. The police spokeswoman that the videos, sees only the initials of the orderers. The success of the prevention action delivers, through social media and Fireworks-forums, much turmoil within the target group. We make ordering online is no longer seen as safe and anonymous and that prohibited the webshops that offer pizza delivery drivers are not heavy Fireworks more confident. In addition, some Polish Web shops also accept no more ordering from Netherlands.



Heavy unsafe fireworks in unrecognizable packing

Providing online and ordering heavy professional illegal fireworks allows for life-threatening conditions. At seized packages during transport already shows that Fireworks gunpowder is to leak, causing life-threatening not only pizza delivery drivers at risk but also his housemates, residents and employees of distribution centers and package services. About the Task Force OVB

The Task Force OVB is a collaboration of police, I&M, human environment and Transport Ministry, the Foundation stichting VeiligheidNL anonymous and Crime, who is also the coordination. The actions of the Task Force OVB are supported by the public prosecutor's Office and the BPN, Pyrotechnics Association Netherlands Interests.



The purpose of the cooperation within the Task Force OVB is that organizations from the own jointly and each target improve safety around the fireworks and the inconvenience of the use there of.

This taskforce tries to eliminate the import of heavy illegal fireworks from Poland, Czech Republic, etc to The Netherlands. It's possible to order those kind of fireworks via the internet, and they will be send by regulair post. Think of the dangerous goods beeing shipped like this...
The Dutch police tries to search the internet and find the people who order those fireworks. Next to this they search on Youtube, for people in The Netherlands who post their movies of shooting those fireworks. When found, they overule the Youtube movie with such warning movies as shown above.

The funny thing is, that Poland, Czech Republic, etc. belong to the EU, but in Brussel they do not make a law which prevents export of heavy illegal fireworks in between the EU countries.

These are the advantages and disadvantages of the European borders blending. The little of I am aware of is a majority of it is coming from Poland. When I watch some of the videos, I am amazed at what products are being sent in the mail system.
It looks like Brussels has direct access into the Netherlands, a simple border crossing can bring back the goods. Is the border between the Netherlands and Brussels closely inspected?

The problem is, that such fireworks from mainly Poland are shipped with regulair package post.
In The Netherlands there are not enough people available to do good inspections on post from Poland.
Just 5 minutes ago I saw a news message that up till now only 100 post packages with illegal fireworks from Poland are found. The estimated amounth of packages with fireworks send are probably thousands...

That's why I think that Brussels (EU government) should make a law to prevent countries from sending fireworks to destinations where they are illegal. And if you ask me, I would like to see the extreme and dangerous firework bangers with more than 10 grams of flash beeing banned from the EU via an EU import ban. This makes any company in the EU punishable, which may prevent them from doing so.
Also Polish workers who work in The Netherlands smell money, and they take those fireworks back from Poland after their free weekends, etc. They sell this stuff also to kids in The Netherlands. What would you do when you find out that your kids are playing with bangers, filled with 30 grams of flash, or even more... Not even mentioning 4 and 5 inch titanium salute shells, sold as hot items. I saw Youtube movies showing Dutch people using those shells as bangers, without the tube...
