I was following this item and it sold for $845.43 USD unbelievable.
This is a rare old Red Fox Firecrackers label. It is a 16 x 1 1/2" package label with graphics of a Fox holding a large firecracker and has " Made IN China Exclusively For Wilfong Fireworks Fort Worth, Texas. This is a neat piece of firecracker memorabilia in very nice condition with minor wear

If you look at the bid history you can see the winner first entered into the bidding at $345.00 USD . I am sure he now realizes he got carried away and bid more than he expected to. I wish I knew the history on this pack, the last time I talked with a collector he told me there are many "Rare" firecrackers. What makes this one special I do no know.

One reason Wilfong firecrackers are scarce is that they blew up in the late '40's and I believe for good as I have not seen Wilfong crackers made in Macau (Class 2 from the Korean War Era 1950-1953) . They imported Happy, Longhorn, Red Fox, and Samson brands, all from old China, and of the four Red Fox is the hardest to find. Samson is the easiest.http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=1371&stc=1
