Rodney District was a local government area in the northernmost part of New Zealand's Auckland Region from 1989 to 2010. It was created from the amalgamation of Helensville Borough and Rodney County in 1989. The seat of the district council was at Orewa, and the district included Kawau Island. The district was, in its last period, led by mayor Penny Webster and 12 councillors.

The area has been governed by Auckland Council since 1 November 2010. The Rodney Ward of the Auckland Region now covers much of the land area, but not the Hibiscus Coast and the former council seat of Orewa, which are in the Albany ward.

The district was divided into three wards, each containing a number of towns and settlements:

So the first woman interviewed wants the fireworks to be set off in the city where its more populated, where more people could get hurt IF anything were to go wrong....

How about.....They stay out in the burbs where theres less people, less HUMANS in any "potential" danger.

Shes more worried about horses then humans.

I do understand where shes coming from though.

I also believe the fireworks companies probably have better places to have their displays too.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. i will have a look into it, any potential legal action would have a knock on effect throughout the whole of NZ.

I am surprised though that the complainants are not using the complaint channel available to them from the EPA, Who govern all pyro displays.

Givern that this seams to be a isolated case in one area, it has got the hallmark of being a neighbor dispute that has gotten out of hand.
I can not think of anybody that "Tests" product and four in the morning, as stated in the video.
