HI All, Forti1bs from Michigan.

As many of you know for a year and a half now we in Michigan have had a wonderful new fireworks law. Today however there were changes made in the state legislature.

The changes are minor and do not affect the sale or possession of fireworks!

They are as follows.
1. Local govs who previously had limited regulatory power now have more power to limit the use to 10 days per year (fed holidays) as well as times from 12 midnight-8am. Cities or counties with large populations may enact ordinances that make it vary hard to discharge fireworks max fine a local gov could only impose a fine up to $500.

2. The provisions of the law that were to expire after two years have now been extended: these were only procedural anyway.

These changes were expected basically many people have had noise complaints about fireworks have been able to get there local govs involved in ordinances.

The bill now goes to final enrollment and presentation to the governor.

Thanks for your support if you have questions please post here.
