Its been a while since I posted & I want to share some information as a collecter & fireworks maker of 40 years. That I think what they did for safety on the new cobra 7s is fantastic! Sometimes it just goes to show you. That you have to think outside of the box. On the new cobra 7s or 7s that have 50grams of powder which is one big firecracker! I think for safety what they did was ingenious! They did your standard yet best 70/30 mix yet put the oxydizer in first & then the aluminum on top. Then when you get it wherever there legal to have? It say's shake well for 15 minutes! So. They weighed up the correct amount of composition for each one yet they just poured them in ontop of eachother! So then in shipping there safe! Then when you get one as a buyer you mix it by shaking it up! I as a pyrotechnic chemist think this is brilliant! Well please feel free to post about this and I will be back with more postings and pictures thanks thechemist45

I sent an email To DeBlasio to clarify.

Dear DeBlasio Fireworks

I run a website called pyrotalk.com, on the discussion forums area people from all over the world make comments about various fireworks. We have a question, do the Cobra 7 firecrackers you sell now have instructions on them to shake the firecracker to mix the ingredients before lighting them. I will translate this message in Italian also, please feel free to respond in Italian or English. Thank you in advance for your anticipated response.

I wouldn't say that the binary mixing method makes them SAFE to transport and store. It may make them safer, but you never know how much action they have seen before you got your hands on them. If there is enough space in the container to mix by shaking, there is enough space for the contents to potentially get agitated by handling & transportation. You hear stories of hobbyists who manufacture salutes using the binary method, and forget to tumble the shell to mix the contents before it was fired... and just the movement of the shell in the air is enough to mix the contents, to where it still explodes. So if the crackers see rough handling in transport before they reach you, they might be "live" already. Probably not a very intimate mix, but still to be treated with care.

In this video, you will see this poster showing the wording on the back of this firecracker. If we can find someone to translate it I have a feeling it says something along the lines of shaking it for 15 minutes like theChemist45 was saying. Is some reading this able to translate to English.

What is your source for all this information?

I have been asking for this because i've seen polish bangers like the Black Death that do say you will have to shake them a bit.
I have also read the label on cobra 6 and there is nothing mentioned about shaking, i will suprise me if the cobra 7 has to be shook but the cobra 6 not.
I seriously doubt the reliability of the opening post.

Cobra 7 suck, not because they're not loud but because of their price. But I'm happy though, because DiBlasioElio will bring new Black Powder Cobras so we get to light them even in Germany. :)

.
DiBlasioElio will make the Cobra with Black Powder? Will this be just for certain markets in Europe? The question I would have is will the black powder version look the same as the flash powder Cobra or will it have a different label.

If you could write me a message with your Mail adress, I can send you DiBlasio's brochure on that. ;-)

I know we have been recently been talking about Europe fireworks products in this section of the forums. I have been noticing the CE symbol come up from time to time. Now, we see the CE symbol in this illustration of the new Cobra Firecrackers. I happen to look at the back of hand held calculator today and again see the CE symbol.
I will have to ask the members of the forum from Europe to forgive us Americans for not knowing about this symbol. For the benefit of people from United States that may want to know about the CE symbol I have this Wikipedia link
